Piper
Piper is not happy with the fact that you want to move in and make her life miserable.
Piper is a juvenile deer fawn. I took this picture yesterday. She is only 2 months old.
Piper was born on January 27, 2008 at 6:30 AM. I was standing at the window when I heard a knock at the door. A few minutes later it opened and a deer started to walk in and I yelled, "Piper." She ran out the door and immediately started to paw around the yard. Her mother wasn't around so she stood out in the open looking for her mom. I told her that the deer family was going to move over to the right and she was going to follow them. She came and looked at them for a few seconds and went back to playing in the yard. She returned for about 10 minutes and then left. I guess her mom finally found her. She has a tremendous personality. She and Nicki are great friends. They play together constantly and sleep together in their tent. They sleep in the same spot every night.
I caught her mom and sister this morning. I have named the young deer Phee and they are both 3 months old. They came up to the window and then ran down the driveway to the corn patch.
I love having wild life friends. They are always happy and play so hard! I would love to get pictures of the mom and kids when they are not as happy.
